Looking to the stars
when things get hard
dancing and dancing
going and going
letting loose
never having felt so alone
surrounded by people who love you
not understanding the feelings you feel
your heart telling you one thing
everything els telling you its impossible
your optimism being pushed out by the pessimism that was meant to be there all along
getting ready to be able to run
run and run
far from here
going and going
the longer you wait
the harder it will be
say something now
sometimes you have to go
jsut to see who will follow
but if no one follows behind
will that hurt more then it does now
the ache in your chest means more then a simple pain
it pounds harder and harder
telling you what you've been trying to ignore
your talent disappearing
everyone seems better
the words no longer rhyme
no longer mean anything
two sides to things
memories that aren't your own
someones telling you a story
your were there
but you dont remember where
looking to the stars when things get hard
putting a tune to a silly rhyme
playing a game thats gone to far
telling your self one thing
when you know its a lie
putting a damper on your mood
hoping that no one will notice
and all will go well
everything felt so wrong
while it was all so right
so please tell me its not now
that i can still look to the stars
that they will still sparkle in your eyes
the sparkles that glow and shine
that fill my heart with joy
